Minutes of the Last Meeting on 12/03/18

2/ Path 2 (Ferma Lane to Guilden Sutton) – No further information had been received regarding works to the wooden bridge, PA to seek update from colleagues. PA confirmed signage works complete.
3/ Path 4 (Barrowmore to B5132) – MM inspected following previous report of inadequate cutting and agreed the matter was of minimal concern and difficult to address relative to the bird nesting season. PA advised that he may be able to address the issue in passing with minimal effort.
4/ Path 5 (Ferma Lane to Sunny Bank) – PA to refer dangerous dip at top of steps to colleagues for action.
6/ Path 12 (Broomhill to Hollowmoor Heath) – PA confirmed works are now complete.
7/ Path 24 (Ferma Lane to Little Barrow) – Following Paul Johnson’s concerns regarding the historical basis for the routing of Path 24 beyond the junction with Path 5, MM and CY confirmed they have reviewed deeds with PJ showing no footpath and has suggested that PJ take up the issue with CWAC. CY has agreed to review Parish Council minute book in record office.
8/ Path 29 (Barnhouse Lane to Path13) – Richard Ankers had carried out an inspection and would make recommendations about signage (carried over from previous meeting).
9/ Riders – It was noted that more of the ‘No Horses’ signage had been illegally removed. SW to add a note to the parish magazine regarding this criminal activity and cost to the community. Situation to be monitored.
Footpath Committee meeting minutes – CY confirmed that minutes of each meeting are posted as follows;

Adapt a footpath scheme – PA advised that CWAC are interested in rolling out a local community footpath scheme based on the Barrow model. The committee agreed to support the initiative. PA to progress.
Date of Next Meeting
The next meeting is on Monday 16th July 2018 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. SW to book the hall.
Appendix of Outstanding Footpaths Work
|Path 2||4||21/11/12||Stiles on/off bridge are difficult. The rails had gone and the bridge needs replacing as it is dangerous||Replacement rails are inadequate. PA has asked for a new bridge.|

|PA is planning to use sandstone retrieved from dismantled steps on Path 20 to use here.|
